At a recent town hall event on Monday, community leaders, business owners, and city officials outlined the massive success of the "Reignite the Pearl" initiative. There is a palpable renewed energy in the neighborhood that is directly driving up foot traffic and livability.

Things to note:

• Vibrant Community Activation: The newly launched Culinary Farmers Market has been such a massive hit that it is doubling in size this July, expanding across Flanders Street to feature live music and chef demonstrations. Weekly events like "Yoga in the Pearl" are drawing hundreds of attendees regularly.

• Packed Summer Event Calendar: The neighborhood is gearing up for an incredible lineup, including Summer Jazz at Jameson Park, the Portland Criterium bike race, a grand reopening of Fields Park, and the beloved Art in the Pearl festival over Labor Day weekend.

• Proactive Neighborhood Safety: A new volunteer-led "Pearl Patrol" is launching to support small businesses and coordinate directly with local law enforcement. Furthermore, city leaders confirmed that the temporary navigation center shelter on Naito Parkway is on track to close permanently this August.
